Game Day Deliciousness!

Let's Go Buffalo!
Let's Go Buffalo!

There's something so magical about the first day of a new football season. SO much promise & potential. & when you're from Buffalo like Andrew & I.... Well, you LIVE for potential. There's hasn't been much follow-through, but well. It's all part of being a fan, right? Unfortunately, by game 3-ish, we're normally pretty beat down. For this reason, the morning of game day 1 is the best. It's the only time we're at the same record as teams such as the Patriots & Ravens... Pretty exciting, eh?

& since I JUST KNOW this is the year, it's time to get some game day spirit started!

No matter your team, no matter your colors & no matter whether you watch for entertainment or because your level of happiness for the week depends on a win, here's a recipe to spice up your game day!

What You'll Need
1 cooked, shredded chicken breast
1/2 block of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/2 block of Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
1 Cup of Crumbled Blue Cheese
Pillsbury Garlic Crescent Rolls
1/4 cup of Cream Cheese
Frank's Hot Sauce to taste (I used 1 cup)

Step 1:
If you're using left over cooked chicken then you can skip this part... Otherwise, thinly cut your chicken, throw it in a pan with some olive oil, salt, pepper & parsley until cooked through & just beginning to brown.

Step 2:
I was amazed when I found out that this was possible, but... Throw your cooked chicken into your Kitchenaid mixer on a medium-high speed. It freakin' shreds your chicken to perfection. (because you needed another reason to love your Kitchenaid, right!?)

Step 3:
Once your chicken is good & shredded, put in your cream cheese, hot sauce, blue cheese & both shredded cheeses. Let that beat around for a few minutes. I suggest taste-testing to make sure it's spicy enough.

Step 4:
Spray a baking pan & spread out your Garlic Crescent Rolls (yes, they make these & YES they're exactly as incredible as you're imagining....) & put about 1 & 1/2 tablespoon of your Buffalo Chicken mixture on top. Then tuck the edges over. It doesn't have to be beautiful. You'll be too distracted by gorgeous, gooey cheesy, spicy chicken to care....

Step 5:
Throw those babies into a 400 degree oven for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

These are literally the most delicious buffalo-chicken anything I've ever freakin' had. Just be prepared. You will not eat just one. You will not eat just two. Mm.

I'm following this up with some chili (which is relatively un-gourmet... Just some ground beef, diced tomatoes, red pepper, onion, salt, pepper & chili seasoning because I like to keep it simple & tasty) & some brownies (out of a box) & a nice, cold beer.

Now if only the Bills could win for me, I'll be a happy, happy girl!

Enjoy!
